All services are provided in the comfortable / familiar environment of the child's own home, school or nursery school.

Initial Assessment:
An initial assessment will take approximately 1 hour, and will involve taking a detailed history of the child's development, formal and informal assessments, and consultation with other professionals involved (if appropriate). Assessment results will be discussed with the child's parents and communication goals will be formulated in consultation with the parents. A therapy plan will be agreed upon, and a written summary of the assessment results, recommendations and goals will be provided.
Direct Therapy:
Therapy sessions can be weekly, fortnightly, or monthly on a 1:1 basis. A child's communication goals will be worked on through exciting / interesting games and activities. Strategies and techniques will be demonstrated to parents for use at home, and activities will be provided for home practise. Sessions are 30, 45 or 60 minutes long depending on the age of the child and the child's needs.

Indirect Therapy:
A child may not require direct therapy at the present time, but may benefit from the provision of a detailed programme of therapy activities for use at home / school. Specific activities / suggestions will be provided to target individual goals. A home programme is followed up with a direct visit with the therapist every 2 -3 months to check progress.
Other Services:
Detailed assessment and progress reports.
Visits to schools for consultation.
Attendance at meetings (e.g. Annual Reviews).
Travel: 40 pence per mile expenses, + travel time over 30 mins will be charged at £10 per hour pro rata. Due to the rural nature of the area covered travel time will be charged as outlined above. Cost will be agreed prior to therapy. Every effort will be made to keep costs low.
